ABOVE: Cycling round churches of Somerset - August 2001.  This was a really great month in which I saw something of the beauty of Somerset, in particular Taunton Deane and explored some truly magnificent medieval churches.  I am very grateful to Henry and Dorothy Rowntree (Henry has now sadly passed away) for their enthusiasm and interest in the churches and for pointing me to some unlikely but special architectural finds.
