Albert Lee

Albert Lee was born on 30th June 1885 in Beaford, Devon, son of John and Sarah Lee

Albert Lee married Sarah Jane Stevens (1886-1930) on 14th October 1907.

They had three children:

	Margaret Mary Ellen Lee, born 3rd March 1909, married James Pratt, 1930 St James Parish Church, Hampton Hill, died April 1998, Dorking
	Barbara Lee, born Beaford, Devon 18th April 1916, married Reginald Thornton Ralph, 18th April 19XX, died Hanworth Road, Hampton
	John Lee, born 18th April 1927, married Cecilia Drew, 6th August 1949, St James Parish Church, Hampton Hill, died Hampton Wick

Sarah sadly died aged just 44 on 12th June 1930 at 92 High Street, Hampton Hill, Hampton. The death certificate records that the death was registered by sister-in-law Florence Emily Stevens, who was present.

Albert Lee remarried Jane MacDonald (known to me as Mummies Nanny). They had one son:

Philip Edward Lee

Albert was a road sweeper and lived for much of his adult life at 7 Wolsey Road

Albert died on 16th July 1969 at West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth, Middlesex.

Jane was a real live wire (a Geordie!) who had a real taste for travel - going to America in her 80's. She would send us ironed £1 notes for Christmas which were a real treat.

Jane Lee died on 7th March 1985 at West Middlesex Hopsital, Iselworth, Middlesex.

The 1901 Census records Gatons, Beaford, Devon records the family with Albert, aged 16, in fact named as Herbert - a phonetic or deliberate change years over the years?
