Thomas and Mary O'Brien (nee Butler)

Lived in Irishtown, Clonmel

Uncle Arthur remembered meeting his grandmother Mary O'Brien - he said she had dark hair, sat in an old rocking chair smoking, had the traces of a beard and had lived through the Irish famine.  he said she had worked breaking stone for roads.

They had at least five children:

Mary O'Brien, born c.1875, married Alfred Key 1904 and died Fethard, c.1933
Bridget O'Brien married James Shaw
Patrick O'Brien (unmarried) died Manchester
John O'Brien (unmarried) died Clonmel
Ellen O'Brien married Arthur Richard Finnis, died Swansea

Uncle Arthur thought that they are buried at Tullamaine, Fethard, Co. Tipperary
