Zephaniah Fordham

Zephaniah - known as Zeph or Brother Zeph - was the son of George and Alice Fordham (nee Anker) and born in 1879 in Castor, Peterborough, Northamptonshire.

Virtually nothing is known other than what his nephew Edward Alan Fordham wrote:

"Zephanire. strong as an ox, used to quell fights at the local pub.  loose living died from VD."

Schoolbookcover.jpg (255191 bytes)A school book (The Deserted Village by William Goldsmith) which belonged to Zeph's older brother George has survived and was clearly passed down the family.

It uniquely has Zephaniah's school boy signature in it.
